Managing Director
Mr. Warfield is responsible for operations of all Thayer Managed Properties, is involved in due diligence and is a member of the investment committee. He is an executive with more than 25 years of experience in operations, strategic planning and finance.
Prior to joining Thayer in 1996, Mr. Warfield spent 14 years with Marriott Corporation and Marriott International. During this time, he held positions in hotel management, property openings and conversions, strategic planning and research. From 1981 to 1984, Mr. Warfield served as a Consulting Manager for McKinsey & Company, where he was involved in strategic planning and profit enhancement projects for major companies in the United States and Europe.
Mr. Warfield received an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia´s Darden School. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland and is a member of the Darden School Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Warfield is also active in community organizations and boards.
